A supermarket that is really kind of old school in the rapidly changing food scene of downtown Brooklyn. They don't specialise in organic, or trendy foods, just regular average food. Like most NY stores they squeeze an incredible amount of well edited products in a very little space. In some aisles you have to leave the aisle if someone is already in it. Prices and service is good. They have great sales on ice cream.

Can't beat the prices! Their on sale items have amazing prices. Haven't had a problem here so far. I will be updating this review as time goes on.

Unfortunately many many bad experiences from myself and many neighbors. Fruit & Berries are often rotten, salad greens have mold, pre-packaged deli meats also have had white and gray mold on several occasions. There also have been mice/small rats seen running across the floors in the cereal section. Most of the staff refers you to someone else in the store when you ask them questions or speak to them ( not sure if they speak english ). A previous comment said walk the 4 blocks to trader joes and I can't agree more. Clean up your act Key Montague or you wont make it with your many new residents who WONT tolerate this like myself.

Relatively new to this neighborhood and I have found this store to be the best option around. Prices are a lot better than the "gourmet" store down the street and the other large supermarket Grisstedes. People are friendly and the store always looks clean. Also even though they got wiped out during the recent snow storm they were quick to re stock all the essentials.

There has been a management change and things are much better. Checkout staff friendlier, sometimes even fun and helpful. For the most part the specials are not on the very top shelf, out of sight. Often they even have enough light yoghurt on sale to meet demand. I still buy most vegetables on Atlantic Avenue, but fruit is often OK. Still, it is a NY store, in general a pretty patchy bunch.
