Jungle Gym Martial Arts - New Rochelle

I have been training at the jungle gym for about 1 1/2 years and it's the best decision I've ever made. Doesn't matter if you're young, old, skinny or fat the jungle gym is the place to learn martial arts. The coaches here are knowledgeable in many forms of martial arts and teach for real life application as well as competition if that's what you're looking to do. The coaches as well as your teammates will push you to be the best you can be. For the ladies there is also Fighterealla, a women's only fitness classes to get you into the best shape of your life. It's real fitness not gimmicky workouts with pink dumbells that don't get results. Give them a call and try out a class for free, mixed martial arts or fighterella I promise you won't regret it.

I joined the Fighterella, all female boot camp class, three years ago and this class has not only transformed my body but my life as well. I started to pack on the weight in my early 20's and as I was approaching my 30's the number on the scale kept climbing. In January of 2012, I decided that I needed to take control of my weight. In the past, I tried the gym but I found myself walking around aimlessly because I didn't know how to get the results I wanted on my own. Through trial and error, I decided that fitness classes were the way to go for me. I like structure and I would rather pay someone to come up with an exercise routine that will create the results I longed for. Down 30 pounds later, I obtain those results with the Fighterella program. I exercise with a group of fantastic women who support each other. Just the other day, a teammate and I helped a new girl finish her set of burpees after we had already completed ours. The coach is there to provide guidance in and outside of the gym. He doesn't sugar coat his feelings about obesity which in away is refreshing because he makes you take responsibility for your lifestyle. What began as a search for a workout regimen soon became a "no excuse" mentality styled way of living. After taking both a striking and jujitsu class as a trial member, I immediately signed up! Jungle Gym met all my basic requirements: great coaches, intense workouts and enthusiastic training partners.

The coaches have in-depth knowledge of MMA, even using examples from UFC fights. But, because most people are prone to fight anywhere but inside the cage, coaches relate lessons to being in street environments where being on your back, or "pulling guard", can be dangerous. Coaches are also passionate and effective communicators. If ever someone has been away a long period of time, coaches, at their leisure, will call students to motivate and make sure they are okay. That being said, during workouts, the coaches are like motivational speakers! While a member for the past 2 years, I haven't had any problems with another member. Everyone is friendly, open for feedback and willing to help. Such a family a environment!

Since joining, I've gained 15 pounds of muscles, have become more confident, have been in the best shape of my life and plan to be a part of the Jungle Gym family for a very very long time!

I have only been going to Fighterella at Jungle Gym for two months and there have been endless positive outcomes already. I have a two year old and four month old at home so I usually only go to one class a week. It is the best escape! I feel stronger physically and mentally after a class. The only downfall is that the classes go by so quickly! It is the first time I don't look at a clock while working out. The coaches and other people in the class push you when you need it, and encourage you to test your limits. It is really like no other class I have ever gone to. If you haven't tried it yet you must. The coaches here want to help you any way they can. Their dedication to you is what stands out, and that is what makes Jungle Gym different from other places.

It has been 2 years since, I have been a member of the Jungle Gym family. I truly appreciate the great effort that has been put forth by my coaches to help me understand and appreciate the value and honor of helping others.
I want to first give thanks to Master Chim for granting me the opportunity to train & learn directly from him & his instructors: Coach Pat, Coach Anthony, Coach Spanish, Coach Leo, Coach Gonzo, & Coach Brian. It has been through the patience & guidance of Master Chim & his coaches that I am slowly learning, how to be a coach, just like them. Thank you for the counseling, the words of encouragement, & the valor which this team has bestowed upon me.
