My boss recommended Joseph Hanna in NYC for handmade leather briefcases when I asked him if he knew a really reliable store in New York City. I wanted to actually see and feel what I was going to buy before I purchased it because I had been disappointed in the past when I bought items from online stores. When I walked up to the Shop you could see all the leather bags and accessories on display in the windows. I also had seen a worker actually creating a leather pocketbook right inside the store. Most of the store is filled with display items but another part is actually a working leather repair and leather creation shop. It was really cool to see this.
I originally came here to get a leather briefcase for my husband and really fell in love with a few different styles. They have so many colors and leather types that I was really enjoying myself. I must have drove the staff crazy because I was like a kid in a candy store and kept touching everything. I had been in Greenwich Village a million times and wish I would have known this leather store was here earlier.
My husband loved his handmade leather briefcase and I also had his initials stamped on the inside to really personalize it for him. I have to admit though I did not leave without getting a fabulous leather pocketbook and clutch for myself. One of the sales staff named Summer was really helpful and was instrumental in my decision making.
