Jonas Mansson, MD

Dr. Mansson is absolutely amazing! I believe he is the best doctor/surgeon for hernia repair in NJ, if not the entire USA. Not only is he the best at what he does, he actually really listens to you and your concerns, and answers detailed to your questions. He is truly an expert and really really cares about all his patients. You can just tell that he really cares and you feel very comfortable. After my hernia repair I feel great. I wish I found him before. If you have any hernia issue RUN don't walk to Dr. Mansson. You will have such a relief. Also the nurse is also the most amazing most sweetest person. Sorry I forgot your name. Such a great TEAM. they are the best! Thank you Dr. Mansson!! I can't thank you enough. Thank God I found you.

I had 4 recurring incisional hernias resulting from a colon resection in 2010. I was loyal to the original surgeon, but after 4 failures had to find a new doctor. I spent 1 year trying to find this Doctor. I was referred to Dr. Mansson. He performed an abdominal wall reconstruction on February 3, 2015 at Valley hospital in Ridgewood NJ. As I write this, I am home on recovery. I only spent 3 days in the hospital, and stopped pain meds after being home for only 2 days. This major surgery involving using abdominal muscle tissue for a natural "patch" etc...has had less post surgical issues then the prior "standard" hernia surgeries I had by others. This procedure was a "one shot deal" so my trust in the performing surgeon had to be utmost, he had/has mine. Additionally he would not perform my surgery if I did not stop smoking...told me straight to my face. I quit as a result of this as well. Lastly, Dr. Manssons assistant Kathleen is excellent, and the aftercare at Valley Hospital was far superior to other hospitals I have been in, in the Bergen / Passaic county areas of NJ.
