Johnny Gonzalez Hair and Makeup Artist

Johnny did my hair and makeup for my wedding back in Sept./2010! I was more than pleased with my look. He did exactly what I wanted. I did not want traditional bridal makeup and he nailed it. I love his work and highly recommend him!

Johnny and his assistant were amazing! He set up the tools of his trade in our Brooklyn hotel room in a very professional manner, then proceeded to orchestrate the transformation of quite a few women from everyday life to feeling ready for photos and a very important day in their lives– bride, mother, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, and attendants. He was sensitive to the high emotions, and transformed me (the data manager Mom from Colorado) into someone who felt beautiful. And most important, he was there for the bride. She had a vision and he made it happen – he didn’t leave until everything was perfect, including the veil. He is an artist who cares about what he does and I feel fortunate to have had him part of this special day. Thank you Johnny!

After being in three weddings this year I finally found Johnny, better late than never. I have never been more happy with my hair and make up than I was on that day. Johnny did my hair and make up for my brothers wedding on August 20th, 2011. From day one I was impressed. Unlike all of the other artists I contacted he responded to all of my emails with more than just a one or two word response. He took the time to write me a long email and I never once felt he was too busy for me. On the day of the wedding he came to the hotel and worked his magic. My hair came out great, it was like a mirror image of the picture that I had showed him. My make up was flawless and lasted through out the whole day and night. Never in my life have I received so many compliments on my look and felt that kind of confidence. I'll be using Johnny's services again in the future!

Johnny did my hair and makeup for my engagement photo session in NYC. He came to our apartment and was very professional and efficient, and the end result was amazing! My skin looked flawless and glowed, and my hair was natural with soft waves. Importantly, my makeup and hair stayed put the entire day and night, through photos outside in the snow and at various NYC venues. Our photographers were so impressed with the results that they are recommending him to all of their NY brides! From the first trial session to the day of the wedding, I could not have asked for more! I knew that Johnny was the make-up artist for me when I looked into the mirror and saw myself transformed. His techniques, the quality of his products, and ability to create a specific look that I imagined are impeccable.
