My mother owned a Italian deli/restaurant in Newark, NJ for many years. A lot of the customers that came to eat there over the years never knew that the food she served in the restaurant was made with the same love and care that she would use to cook for us at home. That was the reason the place was so popular for so long. When she got sick and really couldn't do it anymore, the food went down hill along with the business. Moms's gone now, but the memories are there. A few tears fill my eyes as I write this and remember her, but I found a place that is as close to my mother's cooking as possible, John's Cafe. Thank you for all the amazing meals, the fast deliveries and the new memories.

Called for 3 pies from my School for a pizza party for my students. The receptionist was an idiot. I told her I would like to pizza delivered between 11:30 & Noon. She said that wasn't a problem, put me on hold forever and confirmed that time. The pizza came at 10:45, I immediately called & spoke with the owner John. He told me he wanted the pizzas back and he would send new ones. i was worried that they would probably spit in the pizzas, because their attitudes' were terrible on the phone. They seemed annoyed that I called them on the fact that THEY screwed the order up. The pizzas were delivered almost an hour early & when the students ate the pizzas, they were ICE cold. AWFUL PIZZA!, TERRIBLE ATTITUDE! from Employees & owner. I absolutely would NOT recommend this place to anyone. Kind of shame the owner didn't care that he RUINED a Pizza Party for First graders.
