Asked for a delivery order within an hour and they we accommodating and on time! Will definitely use them again!

I bought a Barolo for a nice dinner from JL Wines tonight and although my friends and I gave it a shot, we quickly realized that the bottle was corked. Out of principal, I walked out during the middle of dinner with the bottle of wine to explain the situation. I don’t have much experience with returning bottles of wine to stores, so I can’t speak for how reputable places deal with these situations; however, I do know that no one expects to be laughed at by the “manager”. Despite trying to have a conversation, he dismissed the situation immediately and had the audacity to yell at me, demanding that I take the bottle back with me.

If you’re like me, you patronize stores with helpful, decent employees and management who would have at least probed to ask questions about what was wrong with the wine, and perhaps offer an exchange (as any restaurant would do) or at least a discount on another purchase. I’m not sure how long this place has been in business but can’t imagine the locals will put up very long with an incompetent, rude manager who seems to be running a bodega in the name of a wine store.
