Jiffy Lube

Been here many times, normally they are ok, always try to push for other things that aren't needed thought. One thing that I cannot prove but highly suspect is their fault, is they caused my differential to break. 2008 Xterra, never had a problem until about 3 weeks/1 month after they pushed for the differential fluid to be changed. I started to hear noises while driving, faster I drove the louder it got at times. Went on for 1 week before I had time to take it in the shop, they told me the differential is busted and driving on it is highly discouraged as it can totally fail any minute. A $40 dollar fluid change turned into a $1400 USED differential replacement and out of a vehicle for 3 days. I suspect they got metal shavings in there while adding new fluid but of course I couldn't prove anything. This happened a little over a year ago, looking up places to get oil changes brought memories back and realized I never left a review about it. The mechanic said its rare but it does happen. I just find it extremely coincidental that an issue arose shortly after work being done to it.

Great spot to get and oil change. Sometimes you have to wait but they do get things done very quick considering the volume they see.

I like coming here. Its simple and quick. I put only 4 stars because today it smells terrible inside the waiting room. Like sweat and body odor.

It's pretty simple here get your oil changed and you leave, simple and fast. They service our work trucks and they always do a great job. Lou is the man!!!

Well my overall experience... I did not leave happy but I will tell you the cons as well as the pros. CONS: 1) I thought my car didn't need synthetic oil but the guy insisted so I went with his suggestion, he is the professional. 2) I remember the online coupon but only after the fact it was charge. Customer service first! Always! The guy had a face of "unhappiness" so I just said well maybe next time (hint there wont be a next time). 3) so I called Honda when they were working on the car because I remember it was cheaper. Honda was cheaper!!! Oil, air filter, cabin filter was $134; honda was $101!!! Honda themselves told me and from what I know about hondas dont need synthetic oil!!! Even with the $10 Jiffy coupon Jiffy was still more expensive!!! Haha. Jiffy Lube Pine Brook didnt have designated customer service pesonelle and the person who I dealt with, anyone can tell was not personable or that people person character. PROS: did the job in 20 min (hint it was not pack by a long shot!) For all the cons you know why the Honda dealers are pack (only 45min to 1hr wait for cheaper and better customer service and experience). FAIR DISCLOSURE: Filters did need changing. I knew rule of thumb, hold up to sun and if you cant see sunlight through at the end of folds then it needs changing. I didnt know Honda had express and no appointment needed for oil and filter change (not sure for all locations though) but I will book ahead to aviod going to Jiffy Lube. In closing if you cant beat overall experience and price why go to a juffy lube than your car maker!!!
