Jersey City Municipal Court

Absolutely ridiculous. I will never live in Jersey City again. Takes you 30-40 tries just to get into the hold queue.... "We're experiencing higher than normal call volume".... during all business hours.... Fantastic system you have where you try to call to get your ticket sorted out for your court date and literally takes a week of trying just to get someone on the phone. Then once you actually pass the first brick wall of getting into the hold queue, you're pretty much going to be on hold for an hour or more. And that's assuming you don't get disconnected and get to start this whole lovely process all over again. This is completely unacceptable, especially for people who work full time during your business hours and are only trying to abide by the courts guidelines to sort out their parking tickets prior to going to court. Increase your headcount or fix your phone system but this is a joke.

"We are experiencing normal than higher call volumes, please call us at a later time" and then it literally just cuts out. So not only does a state organizations only recorded message have an egregious grammar error in it, the message is basically telling you too many people are calling and then just hangs up. That is not the way customer service is supposed to work, regardless of the organization. They may as well outsource the call center to another country at this point, it might improve the response time. And lets not forget, this is a service for people who need to resolve things that directly and deeply impact their life. Seriously, this is nonsense, 10:30 on a Monday and I can't get through.

I went to court for a parking ticket. And although my appearance date was delayed twice, and I had to wait three months, I was pleasantly surprised with the experience once I enter the court. The employees and officials I dealt with were helpful and friendly. The processes were efficient enough. And the judge was smart, personable and very fair. Do I want to go back? No. But I'm glad to see that they try to make the experience as pleasant as possible given that it is court.

What did I like about it? Nothing. Wasn't able to take off of work for my court date and no one answered the phone. Tried called 30 times (no exaggeration) with no dice on a human picking up the phone. Now I'm in a stressful situation with the Jersey City courts. This is an unacceptable way to serve the public.

worst experience of my life. mediator was 80 years old, didn't understand what was going on. The whole place is totally disorganized and they botched my whole case. This place is a joke and they deal with serious matters all day long. Justice system is a joke.
