JD's Steak Pit

Several years ago they intentionally gave me food poisoning! I was there with a couple who didn't mind their child. The kid went from table to table disturbing other customers. Horrified, I tried to correct the kid several times while the parents did nothing. The staff thought the kid belonged to me. We all ordered and ate the same thing, drank the same drinks too. My beer kept getting weird hunks of crap in it while the father who was drinking the same thing didn't. I told the waiter but it kept coming like that, waiter said it was normal, either drink it or strain it out. Later that night I had food poisoning so bad I almost died. I called them after I was feeling better and they denied it was food poisoning, said it was a stomach bug. All I wanted was an apology but these clowns denied I even had it despite the fact I almost died. The Health Dept verified it was indeed food poisoning...they still denied it. They offered me a free meal; I guess they wanted to finish the job.... I'm surprised this place is still around. Shoulda manned up "ova dere, eh!"I told you clowns this wasn't over!!!!....

Not only is it a Steak House, but there's a Seafood Boiling Pot option now too!!

Over the weekend (Sat night), I came with a large party of 20 people for a birthday gathering. The staff was extremely accomodating, quick, and friendly!! Our boiling pot included shrimp, big clams, mussels, hot dogs, sausage (wish there was more), crab legs (wish it was a bit meatier), corn (super fresh and crunchy), and korean rice cakes (love the asian spin on this)!!! The mix of spices they used was super flavorful, even though my mouth was on fire. The best part was the pasta added at the end--this is a MUST!!! It sopped up all the juicy spicy seafood goodness. Even though it was quite messy, it's really about the whole experience--they even have the decor down right. :)

P.S. My boyfriend got the "famous" ribs and chicken. Both mouthwatering!!!! It was cooked to perfection with meat falling off the bones.

Very good value. Steaks and other dishes are all tasty. Manager sarah is charming.
