Absolutely 100% fresh and delicious. I've been to Japan before and this place is on par with sushi from the homeland.

This is the way Japanese should be.. Great staff- Perfect food.. positive clean atmosphere.. If you know anything about japanese dinning.. trust me..

Love, love, love! I have tried quite a few items on the menu, and all of them have been fantastic. And the owner and his staff are friendly and attentive (without hovering).

They start us out with a complimentary tasting of something we wouldn't necessarily try otherwise. The miso soup and the ginger salad are standard but tasty. The wakame salad and the tempura appetizer are always fabulous.

Lately the assorted sashimi deluxe entree has been my go-to. The tuna is usually dark red and melts in my mouth. I wish the eel came on this one, b/c it's also delicious. I can't count how many of the rolls I have tried - all great. I am not a big steak eater, especially at Japanese restaurants, but their NY sirloin steak is yummy.

Recently I have gone gluten-free, and I love that they always have a bottle of tamari sauce on hand.

Their wine selection is tiny, and yet they probably have exactly what you're in the mood for and at a reasonable price. Their house wines by the glass are good as well.

I almost always order red bean ice cream for dessert. I love theirs so much that if I'm full, they pack it up tightly for me to take home. And if we have any wine leftover, they pack that up for us as well.

We always end our meal with a complimentary shot of sake. Not sure if this is something they do for everyone or just for us since we're regulars. Either way, it's a very nice touch.

We have been going to Japan Inn for 15 years. It is my children's favorite restaurant.
Lenny is a wonderful, gracious host and the sushi is absolutely top quality. Highly recommended.
