Came here for lunch and had a thoroughly satisfying experience. The prices initially seemed a bit high, but the food was very well prepared and flavorful - it ended up being very worth the price. We tried the Prego Roll (skirt steak sandwich) and the Eggplant Baguette and both were delicious. It really felt like they took pride in the food prep and presentation.
You don't often leave an NYC restaurant feeling like you made a good decision and got what you've paid for. We'll definitely be back.

Very friendly staff, superbly STRONG coffee and a charming setting. The food is excellent as well! Highly recommended, for all your hunger needs.

Any restaurant that offers well selected red and white house wines (carafes) in the $20s gets 4 stars right off the bat. This shows respect and a "I'm not here to gouge you on my wine list prices" attitude. Thank you!
We were a large party of about 10. Started off with sharing a few plates of grilled haloumi which came with grapes and mint and fried zucchini chips - I could've had this for the rest of the evening, but thank God wiser minds prevailed. This was with family and close friends so we were pitching our forks into each others plates with abandon. Our order as far as I can recall: Liver and onions, burger with grilled tomato (clever), chicken in peri peri, salmon, mackerel and trout with wonderful combos of veggies, a few rack of lambs (the only not up to 4*) rating, a delish bolognese pasta, for desserts we got a few malva puddings, people loved it, I've had better.
Service was nice and easy just as I like it.

Very beautiful space. Charming vibes, although the space is VERY loud due to poor acoustic design. The menu is eclectic but everything is well executed. I recommend the peri peri or the orange blossom pancakes for brunch.

The food is disgusting, but one doesn't come to the blue note for the brunch of their life either. The music is great! We went for a jazz brunch, 9 musicians in the band and they repeatedly mentioned that their CD could be purchased upstairs, aaahhh! A little annoying. All together, glad we went, live music is always great! Don't need to eat there!
