0 stars. Sends a letter providing their contact information if I want to discuss my mortgage account with them, please call, they have options. This is a mortgage on a property that they foreclosed on 3 years ago (the letter references the property tied to the last 4 digits of the mortgage/account). Loan was originally with Washington Mutual. Washington Mutual worked with me, approved a modification, I was making payments on time, then Chase took over. Revoked the modification agreement, stated had to start over and got denied over and over again for the modification. And they would not accept payments based on the modification I had because they wanted the original payment amount PLUS the difference between the original payments and modified payments - totaled almost $70,000. Talk about adding insult to injury and rubbing salt into the wound. Insensitive, impersonal, lack of customer service. Useless bank. Avoid them - they will suck the life out of you.

I dont have an account with chase my aunt did thou she passed away..her account was closed and i jus needed a statements sayin that..i had to contact a lawyer just to be albe to obtain a statement saying that her account was closed n her balance was a negative yes chase sucks..

Charged me $90 for simply converting $ to £.. The worst exchange rate on the day was 1.52 $/£ their exchange rate worked out at 1.54 $/£. However they try to excuse it, it is ussuary. Are all crooks bankers or are all bankers crooks.

Chase Bank is horrible!! I have 3 accts with them. Because I don't have 3 direct deposits or keep at least $1500 daily amount in the acct without direct deposit, they charge me $10 per month on the acct without direct deposit. As if that isn't bad enough, when I go online to try to pay my bills, many times I get a message that says "system unavailable"...according to a CSR for Chase, this is due to maintenance. Why is Chase doing maintenance online @ 10:00 PM PST on a regular basis. Wouldn't it make more sense to do maintenance @ 1:00 or 2:00 AM PST? Most people are still up and functioning @ 10:00 PM PST. After a 10hr day @ work, come home fix dinner, get kids to bed, now I have time for bills. Unfortunately, Chase feels that 10 PM is a good time to maintain their online product so that I can't have access to my account that costs me $10 per month. Now I have to figure out how to pay my bills during my lunch hour at work tomorrow. That will be fun since all my accts won't recognize my laptop @ work as a trusted computer & will have to be answering many security questions over and over again from each financial institution website that I visit online. I have never been with a bank this horrible ever!!! Online banking is supposed to be 24/7....easy, easy, but NOT with Chase!!! It won't be long that we will no longer be customers. Chase doesn't even deserve 1 star in this review, in my opinion.
