Having this strong coffee in Grand Central is a blessing for the commuting crowd. Irving Farms makes a tasty brew that isn’t quite as good as something like Blue Bottle, but is at least as good as Intelligentsia or Stumptown and definitely better than Starbucks. The coffee is good, but not exceptional though the lattes are very good and creamy, having little bitterness but a bold flavor. Service is a little clueless and I had to go up twice to remind them about a sandwich ordered. For Grand Central though, this is a great place for a coffee now.

Nice variety of pastries, quick service, and overall good espresso and coffee drinks in Grand Central. Convenient on the way to work or waiting for a train. Not great seating.

I have a list of great coffee houses I can stop at while wandering through the city (none of them rhyme with FarChucks), Irving Farm Roasters carefully selects and perfectly roasts single origin beans. This is consistently just one good cup of coffee. Not too strong, but certainly not too mild. I highly recommend the Grand Central location.
