Steve has resolved my chronic back pain problem, which is worth repeating. Steve has resolved my chronic back pain problem! I am an active person and the thought of having my time at the gym reduced or having my recreational activities hindered due to back pain was not an option.

I have seen several other physical therapists in the past with no signs of improvement and had given-up on PT. That was until I met Steve at my gym, where Steve was providing evaluations. I was so impressed with Steve’s knowledge, which included a quick understanding an appreciation of my exact back problem, I reached out to him via email that afternoon and made an appointment. More importantly, Steve took the time to listen to me an answer all of my questions.

Steve is also incredibly generous with his knowledge and has worked very closely with my personal trainer to develop an exercise routine tailored just for me. This is what ultimately cured me.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that Steve also happens to be a great guy. He’s fun to hangout with and I feel like I’ve known him for years. Perhaps that’s the reason why I recently injured my knee. It must have been a Freudian thing in order to postpone my graduation from iPT. My new malady is improving under Steve’s guidance – aka: “Steve Horney’s Helping Hands”.

In addition, Steve believes strongly in the value of increasing his knowledge. He remains up-to-date with current trends and prevailing breakthroughs by continuing his education regularly not only within his practice field, but beyond.

Finally, Steve and Matt have exceeded my expectations by working directly with my insurance company, a time consuming task to say the least. They have resolved an issue concerning my reimbursements and I can’t thank them enough.

Steve has made such a difference in my quality of life. I've been going to him for almost five years for a chronic running injury and his work has made a bigger difference than anything else I've tried, including some other PTs who can't hold a candle to this guy. He is a compassionate, educated, thorough, and creative practitioner. He always has a plan A, B, C, D, E . . . for how to treat my pain -- he leaves no stone unturned in trying to figure out how I can get running again. He's also an excellent listener and quick to respond when I tell him something is or isn't working for me -- there is no ego in his work, just a sincere concern about his patients and their needs. Beyond that, he is without exception upbeat, warm, and friendly, making each appointment a joy even as he's making me wince with deep tissue massage. I can't recommend him more highly!

I found Steve after searching for PT's near my office. After doing some research, and looking at the great reviews, I decided to try it. I can tell you that after 3 months of going to see him, the reviews I had read were understated. This experience has been great! Steve is passionate about getting his clients better and knows what he is doing. In just a few sessions, I already felt a positive improvement. I also saw Steve's other two staff members: Fernando and Stephen C. They were just as good and equally good.. I would highly recommend any of these guys as they all made the experience stress-free and fun while getting me better. Can't beat that!.

The gym where the PT takes place is also a fun atmosphere.

After three decades of sports-related wear-and-tear, including two ACL reconstructions, I was experiencing persistent knee swelling and couldn't walk up and down stairs without pain. An MRI confirmed that I'd injured my left meniscus and that I had virtually no cartilage remaining in the knee. Among the suggested treatments mentioned in the doctor's report was "knee replacement," something no one wants to see, particularly a 41-year old.

So I decided to try physical therapy, and I'm glad I did. And I'm particularly glad I found Steve. He was quickly able to assess the muscular problems I had that were placing undue stress on the joint, and he designed a program of stretching and strengthening, specific to my body and tendencies, that re-taught my muscles to work together in the best way to strengthen the knee and to keep it from getting re-injured. I'm now back to full activities--including skiing and playing soccer--and the swelling is gone.

If it were just for Steve's expertise and the great results I got, I'd be inexpressibly grateful, but he's also a great guy, really positive and with a great sense of humor. It was always pleasure to work with him. If you are looking for a PT, I couldn't recommend Steve more highly. (Also a shout-out to the nice people at Gotham!)

I am your typical over scheduled New Yorker. I have participated in two Marathons, run half’s and 10Ks for fun, but mostly running is my therapy that I do every morning. I injured my hamstring a few years ago and have since always been nervous it would slow my training or disrupt my routine, which happened earlier this past winter.

My previous trainer, who was a former professional Hockey Player, I thought was the best until I met and worked with Steve. Steve is through, thoughtful and has hands of an angel! I have gone through the typical circuit of apply the stimulator to the affected area, heat, stretches, ultrasound and then massage for weeks with my previous therapist- slowing my recovery and resting for several weeks.

With Steve, his hands on manipulation, education and treatment plan made me stronger then I was before and healed me quicker! He is dedicated, very professional and honest about the severity of your injury and recovery.

Steve is so knowledgeable, personable and motivated to get you back up and stronger than before. I would follow him anywhere. Dont make the mistake of slowing your recovery- go to Steve.
