This restaurant is not only a neighborhood gem, it is one of the finest Japanese restaurant in NYC. It is run by a husband and wife team. The sushi chef is the owner and takes great pride in the freshness and quality of the fish he serves. He is the only sushi chef behind the counter so the quality is consistently excellent. Seating size is limited.

We live on UES for the third year and two of them are going to Inase. It is cozy, delicious and not crowded. The couple who runs it very nice and their Omakase is the best. I highly recomend it!

this restaurant has the best traditional Japanese food in town. I live on UES, now I dont go to any place for Japanese food but here!
