I was there for only two weeks and it was horrible. Bullying... lots of bullying. And also, the teachers treated me like crap as well. The class organization was horrible. This should be the last school to go to on Staten Island.

I went to this school for my senior year in Jr. High school on 2010 and I disliked the students very much. The students bully each other, steal and fight very often. And the victims of bullying are often the minority race of the school. Me being Asian, i was bullied by most of the African American kids just for the fact that I'm Asian. Now I am NOT saying all the African American kids in this school are bullies and bad kids, but from my experience I got bullied a lot from them.

Also drugs. Lots of drugs. A lot of kids smoke and sell weed.

There are metal detectors 2 or more times a week which means your kids won't be able to have a cell phone and your only way of contacting your child is to call the school. The teachers on the other hand are mostly very cool and respectful. If I had a kid I wouldn't send him/her to this school

I love I.s.49 it is a good school I have abf there everyone loves me
