Favorite brunch spot in NYC. The place is just prefect from the food to the décor for a really great brunch. Loved both of my main dishes and a side of bacon. Upscale but not pretenses.

A quintessential West Village neighborhood staple. Everything they serve is delicious. The mood is perfect. It's quaint. There usually isn't much of a wait. Get the burger for brunch. The fresh toast is good too.

The food was delicious. We sat at the bar as there were no tables available but we really didn't mind as we got to watch the cooks as they make the food and I have to say it was quite a show! Good service and, again, really good food.

This is one of the more challenging reviews to write. It sort of like those talk shows that reliably has great guests leading you to tune in, but where the interviewer is always lacking the requisite skills. Here the line-up of musicians is fantastic. But where the seating is communal and cramped and getting a great unobstructed view is hit or miss. That being said, I've always been impressed with the food. It consistently seems well prepared, albeit a bit pricey. The crowd seems to have a heavy tourist component...and may explain the price point. But in the end, it's a village landmark, and always has great music. I would give it a 3.5 if that was an option, but will notch it up for always having good artists.
