Always worth a check if you need some thrift store goods. Plenty of higher-end labels for cheap.

Friendly place to drop off by clothing and household donations. Looks like they have higher end thrift items fitting the neighborhood.

Rude staffers. If you're closed, lock the door, but don't get an attitude with people who want to spend money there.... says this long time Housing Works fan and donor.

I've browsed at this thrift store many times.many of the clothes are overpriced to the extent that you can buy new at a department store for less. They state that all of their profits to helping the homeless and AIDS.But some of their employees spout hateful words at people they suspect might be gay. That doesn"t make a lot of sense to me.They do own buildings that house HIV positive persons. There is a Salvation Army thrift shop right around the corner on 96th.St.Also ther is a church basement thrift shop also on 96th.St.Both places have way better prices on all their merchandise, and they also will give a receipt for charities deduction on taxes.

I'm local and go here all the time as a passtime - - dunno who their pricing person is but the 96th Street store is WWWAAAAAYYYYY overpriced. Every so often, miraculously, you find something worth buying but much of the stuff here is priced like new or even ABOVE new.

Two other thrift shops within a block of this shop both have much better prices, although not the quality of merch.

It's a good cause, but hardly "THRIFT." Better off going to one of the other, better priced, (and better stocked) locations.
