If you have an option, don't get your mortgage through HomeBridge Financial. They're basically debt collectors who also work with mortgages. They were our original mortgage company and everything was mostly fine. Then a month or two into it, they sold the mortgage to a place called CENLAR. They were great. A month or so ago, HomeBridge bought back our mortgage. This is when the problems began.
Though the bill came from CENLAR with a posted due date of the standard 30-or-so days out, we were told there would be no late fee within 90 days because the bill had to make it's way back to HomeBridge rather than to CENLAR. We have had to speak with several representatives from HomeBridge, all of which were rude, because starting on the posted due date my boyfriend and I started to receive e-mails and calls from the collections portion of their company. They were harassing us to make a payment by phone, despite an arrangement that had been set up, given the circumstance, to have the bill received by them within 10 days of the posted late fee.
The hold times are also ridiculous. Each time we have had to call to re-explain the situation we have had to wait over 40 minutes. This place is awful.
