Holiday Inn Express Roslyn - Manhasset Area

Polite and helpful staff. Good place to be stuck in a snowstorm.

I've seen bigger shoe boxes. No microwave or refrigerator. One of the worst places I've ever stayed

Very comfortable bed. Convenient to Northshore University Hospital. Entrance to parking was a bit tricky to find but otherwise quite nice.

New hotel with nice finishes. Small but nice room.

Overbooking Nightmare! (October 9, 2015) I was in town for a church organized event and I made a reservation with the Holiday Inn Express in Rosyln-Manhasset about 3 weeks prior. I contacted the hotel twice (once at 6:30pm and again at 9:30pm) to inform the hotel staff I was arriving after midnight and both times I was told my room would be available.

I arrived at 12:45am and was told they overbooked and my room was NOT available. The representative called his manager and was instructed by the manger to go to the room and wake up the guest and instruct them to leave the room. I thought...are you kidding me??!! You already have a guest who is upset, scared and confused and now the manger wants to put another guest out on the street!!

I quickly got on the phone and tried to call other hotels to find an opening (something the clerk should have been doing) all hotels in that area where booked solid.

At one point the front desk clerk thought there maybe a room available, but it was dirty and he was not about to clean it. When he went to check it out it was occupied. The hotel management did not even offer me a cot. I told them I was just tired and wanted to go to sleep.

The front desk clerk was unprofessional and not properly trained to deal with the situation. He told me this is not the first time this has happened and when I asked to speak with the manager, both the front desk clerk and manger denied me the opportunity. I was outraged! I could not believe this was happening to me!! I was tired, upset, pushed to the limit.

Finally I was able to get in touch with a church member who was kind enough to put me up for the night. When I went to inform the front desk clerk he was gone, no where to be found. I guess he thought if he left then I would get tired and leave too.

To this day, 5 days later I never received a phone call or email apologizing for what I was put through. The manager of the hotel Christina and the front desk clerk Anthony should receive proper training so future guests should not have to go through what I went through that night in Rosyln.

I contacted the corporate office and put in a complaint. The customer care rep was kind, courteous and took pride in her work. She quickly apologized for the way I was treated. The employees at the Holiday Inn Express in Rosyln could learn a lot from this woman.

In my career I am expected to give it my all and to get my job done properly. I give 120% and I expect the same in return.

I do not recommend the Holiday Inn Hotel in Rosyln, NY.
