This is my second time moving with this company.
I had a smaller move two years ago moving locally from Brooklyn to upper Manhattan in which the friendly staff and axcelent service brought me back.

This time moving from Manhattan to Boca Raton FL.
We have a two bed rooms moderately furnished apartment and just a few fragile items. The crew that came was quick and efficient, items were well wrapped and protected the delivery in Florida was done in a timely manner.
One chair was scratched a bit on the bottom foot but the company took the responsibility to correct the issue.
Ones again I was very satisfied and I would definitely recommend Highlawn Moving.

If you want a quality, professional moving company who will move your personal property with care, look elsewhere. We used Highlawn Moving and Storage, Inc. in June 2015 only to have numerous problems. Their movers attempted to steal from us during pick up of our property. They damaged and lost numerous items of our property during the move; the value of all of these items exceeded $8000.
The first issue was the movers attempted to steal from us while picking up our property. My mother-in-law (Maria) witnessed one of the movers trying to steal something out of the freezer in the garage as he was placing the item in one of their empty tape role boxes. As she came around the corner witnessing him placing it in the box, he quickly pulled the item out of the box, returned the item to the freezer, and closed the freezer. This was certainly not a mistake since I personally walked this man and the other two movers through the house to show them where I had organized the household goods that were to be moved in each room. There could have been no mistaking the freezer as an item that was to be shipped. This was definitely a blatant attempt to steal food from my in-law’s home. What’s shocking is we had just given them something to eat and provided beverages for them the whole day. She did not confront him at the time because I had left the home temporarily. She feared what could happen by confronting him directly. When I returned home, she told me about the incident. I called Highlawn Moving and Storage to report the incident to his supervisor. David [Cohen] called me back, and I informed him of the incident. He acted surprised and said the situation would be handled. Unfortunately, he did not seem to understand how unsafe this made us feel working with them. After all, they now had most of our personal property.
They delivered our property later than the contractual timeframe (4-7 days was the contracted agreement; it took them 9 days). This was a considerable headache since they told us they would deliver it on Friday (after 3 days), then told us on Friday it would not be there until Sunday, then on Sunday said it would not be there until Tuesday, then Tuesday said it would not be there until Wednesday. It finally arrived on Thursday morning at 12:15am. Since we moved 800+ miles away, this was terrible since we arrived the first day they said our property would arrive. We had to wait in our new home with nothing for a week because they repeatedly lied about when they were going to deliver. This was especially hard since my wife was in her third trimester.
The property damaged was our formal dining room table and China cabinet, antique family piano, bedroom shelves, three antique crystal bowls, a Lenox China saucer and plate, a dresser, and a large leather ottoman trunk. Items missing were two Lenox China bowls, a box with old family pictures and my wife’s makeup set, and a box with non-perishable food. Again, the value of all of these exceeded $8000.
We submitted our initial detailed complaint on 18 June and did not receive a response until we checked on the status on 3 Aug. Initially they were only going to reimburse us $153. Their second offer was $203. It is incredibly insulting considering the value of the property they damaged. The total price for the move was a little more than $2300. Considering some of the main items shipped were damaged or lost, it is only reasonable for them to reimburse us much more than 11% of the price paid. Even after submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, they still have not offered a fair settlement. This all started in mid-June; it is now Oct 20th, and we wish we had never used this company’s services. The fear, damages, loss, lies, and inconveniences were not worth it.

THIS COMPANY IS A NIGHTMARE BELEIVE ME!!!

I will regret my entire life, that we didn't read the reviews before so I wouldn't had hired this company.

And believe me I'm a customer not the competency as they said they write the bad reviews.

Everything started when we were looking for movers to do the job; a person called Josh went to my place in NY and check all the apartment to make a quote, he said that would be $1480 USD and that price wasn't gonna change. The moving was going to be from New York to Boston and was going to be delivered in the same day, that was the arrangement.

The day (Friday Morning), they went to pick up my furnitures they arrived 1 hour late, when the people arrive they start packing everything and they said that my luggage with clothes wasn't included in the price, and the price was going to be higher, $1,640.00, 160 USD more. I tried to call the people in the office and they never picked up my call.

Because, they were late I decided to accept as long as my furnitures was delivered in the same day, because the Boston Building has a schedule for tenants to move.

When the people finished packing, they asked me to pay 60% in advance and of course the tip for the guys, I asked them at what time they were going to arrive there and they said by 6 pm. Just in time for the move.

So they left the building and 30 minutes after, I received a call from David telling me that we weren't going to receive our belongings until Monday or Tuesday because another customer wasn't ready to pack so we had to wait.

I was shocked I didn't know what to do, I should had called the police and get my stuffs back, to hire another company. I yell them demanding the arrangement that we did, and they just said, I'm sorry I can not do anything for you.

After we call the same number a thousand times, the finally took the call and they said that they were gonna try to deliver the next day afternoon, when I asked at what time they said 9:00 PM, I told them again that the building has rules and I can not receive the movers at that time, they said that they were gonna try to be earlier but they were gonna call me on Saturday, and he (David) recommend me to stay in a hotel and ask the company the next Monday a reimbursement of the hotel.

So I took my wife and my son (4 months old) to a friend's house in NY, and waited,I spent another 200 bucks buying diapers the Saturday arrived and the time passed and at 2 PM, I called David to see what happened and he told me again that they will deliver at 9:00 PM, after I said ten times that I can not receive at 9:00 because first I was in NY and second the rules of the building.

To cut a long story short, they pushed me to skip the rules of the building and the movers arrive 5 hours earlier from the arranged time on Sunday. I tried to keep the payment until they finished the move. But I couldn’t they were going to take my belongings again.

They haven't refund any money because they say that they didn't promise deliver the same day, and they told me another history.

So DON’T USE THIS MOVERS EVER, I’M NOT THE COMPETENCY I’M A REAL CUSTOMER and I can probe it.
