Better off going to ihop.

I ordered the $23 Tavern Burger off the Brunch Menu. I was served one of the worst burgers I have ever had in my life at any price. Dry and hard tasteless meat that I ate less than half of, it tasted like a cross between old McDonalds burger patties and left-over dried out meatloaf.
I was part of a Birthday Celebration and never send food back in a restaurant so I just did not eat it. I quietly mentioned it to the waiter as he was collecting the dishes and he said I should have sent it back earlier. He did not offer to take it off the bill as he should have done, I will not be back to Hendricks Tavern and cannot recommend it.

Attended an engagement party recently............... the staff was welcoming, the party room comfortably accomodated our group, the food was good (90+) and the wait staff was attentive and did a great job.........will definitely return.

I have eaten at this restaurant before and had pricey but excellent experiences. On my most recent occasion I ate the seared salmon and a salad. Within two hours of my meal I was suffering severe abdominal cramps and was extremely sick. When I called the restaurant and advised them of what happened their response was awful. The manager argued with me about my illness and was insistent that it could not have been from their restaurant. Much to my dismay, I would be reluctant to eat there again.

Lovely surroundings, excellent food and service, but it all comes at a cost. Bring your appetite and your wallet.
