Heartland Brewery and Chophouse

Good beer! Came for late lunch/early dinner food was good, got the pulled pork (extra BBQ sauce) and the steak sandwich. Waiter was very courteous. Even the manager came over to check

Service was very slow and inattentive. Food was only ok. Better option than the Brooklyn diner though.

As a college student, I went to this establishment with 10 friends while visiting NYC for a weekend. We walked in, asked to be seated, and waited 15 minutes for them to "push tables together." Less than half of the dining space had patrons present. We waited 10 minutes before we were asked if we were ready to get drinks, and we waited nearly an hour for our entrees to arrive after the time we ordered. After we ate, we were told we couldn't split the bill per person, so we had to split it by card. The waitress told us it would be "too hard" so we had to do the math for her and after all that she copped an attitude with us and called over another server. In the end we were almost all charged incorrect amounts. It's a shame the food and beer was so good because the service left a terrible taste in our mouthes.

Decent food and good for a few beers, but it is expensive (you are near Times Square so it is to be expected). Come in for a flight of beers to escape the crowds, but there are better places for dinner.

Me and my husband visited New York for the 1st time in May this year & ate at the Heartland Chophouse. Wasn't sure what to expect, as it doesn't look much from the outside. I had the New York strip steak, which was lovely. Jerry had the filet mignon and said it was close to the best steak he'd ever had... We had sides of sautéed mushrooms & asparagus, which were great. Service was good too . There was loads on the menu to choose from.
