Healthplex Inc

This is a bad insurance...I have it not by choice, but thru my job. Check the reviews in the social media, like Yelp, to see what kind of dentists are within the insurance network. You be dealing with mediocre dentists using century old equipment. Also, with ones that have no scruples in robbing you. If you need dental work, find one by your choice, since at the end this insurance does not cover much.

The periodontist they sent me to made the problem worse and never finished the procedure, even though I kept going back. They had to pull the tooth and now I have to come up with $2000 for an implant which Healthplex won't cover. They are a scam, not an insurance company. You'd be better off with no insurance than with Healthplex.

The pits! Nuff said.
Unfortunately, HP is our primary. We submit to them ONLY to get the EOB(which are usually DENIED!) to submit to my wife's carrier Eatna, a REAL insurance company. They can't even do that right.

Avoid at all costs. Worst insurance I have ever experienced. They don't cover anything, and refuse to approve necessary procedures. . .. They have been giving me the run-around for over a month on a worsening infected root canal. Appalling. STAY AWAY.

Stay away from this company. They are terrible. I went to see my dentist on Oct 8 because I am in terrible pain. He said that I need to see a periodontist at once. He tried to get approval but after taking their time, Healthplex finally said they needed more information. I returned to my dentist on Oct 30 and he did the tests they requested and sent them in to Healthplex. Today is Nov 21, 6 weeks later, and Healthplex still has not determined whether I can see a periodontist. In fact, today they informed me that they need still more information from the dentist. And of course, they never picked up the phone to get the information. 6 weeks and I am still suffering. STAY AWAY FROM THIS INCOMPETENT AND HEARTLESS COMPANY.

Update 11/26/14: I've now been waiting 48 days for Healthplex to tell me whether I can see a periodontist. Stay away from this horrible, heartless company.
