I visit this Hindu temple very often. It is a Hare Krishna (ISKCON) temple, which follows the Vaisnavism branch of Hinduism. The place is very calm and serene during midday, but have ecstatic kirtan and prayers in early morning and evening. The vegetarian food in the Govida's is awesome. Definitely worth a weekend visit.

Being a lifetime member of ISKON, I called in today to find out about visit and stay at this temple. I was shocked when I was rudely greeted over phone and was told that since membership was taken in India, WESTERN ISKON had the right to deny admission. I was also told all accommodation requests have been stopped because people come in and leave.. (failed to understand this part). All in all, I would not mind being denied accommodation for lack of availability or change of policies, but being denied after confirmation that membership was taken in India was bad. Would have been better if the person over phone would have practiced at least some of the preachings of Sri Prabhupada.

Good people, good vibes, and good food. What else does one need? Hare Krishna!
