Hale and Hearty Soups

Good selections but always so crowned and expensive

I have a personal jazz bucket list and the Blue Note has helped me check off quite a few world class artists. Don't come for the atmosphere. Be prepared to sit shoulder to shoulder inbetween clueless tourists and loyal jazz patrons. Eat before the show or have a liquid dinner. Also be prepared for the minimums because you will be spending some money, honey.

Ok, why do I like this place again? The jazz! We do it for the jazz!

I thought this was a great venue to see a show. We did not eat there, only had a dessert and a LOT of wine. My only complaint was that I tried to order one bottle and they were out. I ordered a different one. I then tried to order a carafe of their Cab Franc and they were out so I went with their Petit Syrah, which was decent. I can understand not updating the bottle list, but...OK maybe I am too picky.
The chocolate cake was good, and the show was phenomenal (although we were a little crammed in next to our neighbors, but still great value for $25/seat).
Service was good considering the amount of people in the place.
They get extra points for having Cigar City Maduro Brown on draft from Tampa! So cool to see my "hometown" favorite beer from such a small brewery in NYC!

The other dishes are average in my opinion... but the soup dumplings are amazing! I also really like the beef noodle soup here. A very casual spot good to have dinner with friends.

There is a huge packing lot right next to this place so you don't have to worry about not finding a parking space.

I like to come after the lunch time rush. Although it can get a bit crowded the lines move fast and the people that work there are always so nice and professional. Almost every Hale and Hearty I've been to the people know what they're doing. I think they have one of the best customer service here. Also the soups are always good and you really can't go wrong especially on a cold winter day.
