Guapo Cocina Mexicana

Called at 2 to ask if they were open they said yes. We arrived at 3:30 and the bartender isn't here yet and they left an employee who is new with no experience here to take on customers. Happy hour starts at 4 and it is now 4:30 with no bartender in site and hasn't been one here since we arrived. We now are eating an alcohol free dinner when we wanted Margartitas. The food was the only good thing however on the menu you can order either 1 or 3 of the tacos, empanadas, and flauntas. My aunt only ordered one of each taco, empanada and flaunta. However the orders came out wrong and she was served 3 of each one which was entirely too much and now her meal is going to cost 3x as much. It used to managed by the owners of Zuppas and I can see the difference. I was also just informed that happy hour doesn't exist anymore but on the website it says it does.

One of our favorite Mexican places to eat. The salsa verde is perfection. And the prices are great too! Guapo, you make Yonkers very proud.

I Went with a large group of people, to celebrate a special occasion, the staff is amazing they are so great, they gave a shot of tequila to one of my friend, the one that was celebrate the special occasion.

We start to share some Appetizers

Quatro four flauta: Crispy hand rolled corn tortillas stuffed of; chicken, chorizo, friend cheese or braised chicken. Served with shredded lettuce, they were huge, delicious and kind of messy but also so great and crunchy, It was scrumptious.

Chips and guacamole: The guacamole was tasty and fresh and the salsa is unique absolutely delicious!!! We had it with nachos chips which were a big enough to deep on.

My entree I order the Churrasco with French Fries, holly beef (literally) this steak was huge, so huge that I was not able to finish it all, I think the steak is big enough for 2 people to share and the taste was so delicious that I have not had a good steak in a while.

The fries was bad, I did not like the taste that had but the steak make it up for it.

For drinks we had some sangria, not a big a fan of sangria but this one was very well done.

The staff was wonderful, fast and very efficient.

So a awesome meal, fresh ingredients, great service, and friendly staff and a nice atmosphere, what else you can ask for?

Nice, helpful staff. Fresh, bright take in traditional Mexican food with a few unusual menu items. Most of the menu happens to be gluten-free. Decent prices.

I first went to this restaurant with a few of my friends and I loved the atmosphere from the start and it was a plus that the food was delicious....being from Yonkers and Mexican American I know my mexican food pretty well as well as trying every mexican restaurant/taco shack in the area. I decided to have a dinner party for birthday at Guapo's and I have to say the service was great the food was excellent and all my friends enjoyed themselves. IT WAS GREAT!! My friends and I will deff come back more often to this place in the future. Great Prices Great Food and Great Service and great drinks as well hehehe!
