The only redeeming feature is the visual elevator ride up -- which lasts a few seconds. But for the cost ($35+ per head) it had nothing new to offer. A 360 view of the city - sure. But go to Empire State and feel the wind on your face and sense the history and soul of a great city. By contrast, here you feel none. Just a polished modern glass-enclosed room. Note: we visited it around 7pm and I can imagine it being more spectacular at sunset or daylight perhaps -- however, there was no wait at the time we visited.

It was beautiful! The memorials with the water and engraved names were tasteful and appropriate. The only downside is can say is that it is very crowded, which is to be expected. They just added a mall that looks very futuristic - and full of very, very expensive stores. If this is not to your taste, there's a more reasonable Century 21 close by along with the Fulton Center and other places to shop and eat.

The two places were the Twin Towers stood is like a phantom, an apparition that you just can't believe. I went there on a coincidentally rainy day to see Ground Zero, with it being much more than a memorial. It's a remnant about what stood there and what one did. The sight of the names makes you think twice if they were alive.

They did a wonderful job commemorating the lives that were lost during this tragic event. You truly feel what happened. Not just the pain and sorrow of it but, the strength and perseverance of the first responders and civilians who pulled together to save lives and ensure that those who were still missing would be found.
