I was blessed to experience the walk around program which left from Mt. Moriah Baptist Church on Friday, September 3, 2010. The walk around prorgam was started in 2004 as a way to bring the church to the streets. Men from nearby churches join together and walk the neighborhood cleaning sometimes, talking to young brothers and older brothers and reflecting a positive role model for men to follow. I am a member of the Roseville Presbyterian Church in Newark NJ and I would love to implement a similar program at our church. Next week 100 plus men will walk the streets of Linden promoting community love and peace. Thank God for the Walk Around Ministry.
