This place is magical

Walked in wanting a new look and five months after, I am still singing the praises of the high priest of styling, Gunther. Wish I could wrap him up and bring him home to Melbourne. He is an absolute professional and technical wizard; getting to know me, discussing the styling possibilities and curious about what I thought. He gathered his information and set the new direction. I suppose on my side, I let that happen. He is an artist. He spent the time required to get my colour right and then cut, cut, cut! It took 5 hours in all. Yes! I was brave! What a change! But no regrets...just so happy with the results. And he was absolutely *amazingly* generous with his time. I had lots of comments on the streets immediately after my new look. And since, from friends too, which , yeah, is nice. It's been 5 months since my beautiful cut and experience. Still , the foundations are still there and I have had 3 cuts and colours to extend this look and it's still rockin'.
But, it would never have happened without Gunther!
I luf him!
And I hope one day, I will get to go back, give him a big hug and have a hair cut!
Oh, and a colour...why not?! x

After a consult where the artist Jonah Ellis (who also works with East side ink in the city) reassures me that he can pull off the tattoo I want, I leave a deposit and set-up an appointment for two weeks later. The day of, shortly before the tat appt he sends me an email that he's been up till 8am unable to be inspired enough to draw and casually suggests a different tattoo artist.Get to the shop ask him why he said he could do it if he couldn't and he tells me he thought he could but realized he couldn't. I calmly get my deposit back and leave. Later in the evening I realize he sent me a follow-up email trying to justify him being "the bad guy". So, besides the fact that what he did was unprofessional but to keep writing me about it after the fact? I will never get another tat from East side ink (he also works out of this shop) nor think twice about using Graceland. If you are interested in this artist make sure he gives you a sketch a few days in advance to avoid having the same experience I have. #gracelandtattoo #eastsideink #tattoos

I had short hair all my life and 2 years ago I let it grow (u gotta try everything in it life right?)Well it was time to go back to short .I couldn't pick a better place.Without any clear idea on my next shaggy look I let Graceland make that decision 4 me. If you tried to think of what a great place to get your hair cut would be like in the best of all possible worlds, you would almost be able to think of graceland. Maybe. I will not be going anywhere else any more, having seen the light. Make your appointment now, because this place is going to be full forever.
