After passing by this restaurant in my area for years I decided to finally stop in tis past weekend.
The staff seemed friendly when I entered but it did take sometime for my order to be taken. The menu was pretty small and the prices were pretty high from what I observed.
I ordered the fish and shrimp combo that came with one vegetable and one regular side. For the vegetable I chose collard greens and the second side was macaroni and cheese. The wait was not very long but they did cook the fish fresh and I was offered a free soda. However, I was not sure if the soda was part of a special or if it was because they knew that my order would be incomplete? There was no mention of free soda on the menu at all.
Once I was told that my food was ready it was packed but when I asked for condiments they had none? Fish with no tartar sauce? This was strike one for me because I feel that once I placed my order I should have been informed as a courtesy that there were no condiments to go with it.
I didn't make a fuss over the lack of condiments because I knew that I did have some at home. BUT when I got home that evening to try the food there were NO shrimp! There were two pieces of fish and a huge amount of the average tasting side dishes. Was this the reason for the offer of the free soda? The cost of shrimp and a can of soda do not compare!
I didn't even bother to return and complain - I just won't return at all.
