Reviews to Global Terminal & Container Services
This pier has fast service and is located close to many highways. I wouldn't go anywhere else to get containers.

I did a double move there a while back and the transaction only took around 35 minutes. A few weeks later I went to PNCT and oh god it took forever, at least an hour but I would recommended this place for everyone

worst pier in the usa they can move more efficient but I don't know why they don't choose too my guess is the managers or supervisors just don't care or don't know how to run an efficient operation or its to keep costs down on workers salaries an just let the customers an truckers suffer so hey can make more profits I dunno but let me do that job an I would whip that place into shape for half there salary don't understand why they unload a ship into the new section jam it up an then send mts to the same section an then next week unload into the old section an then that's jammed up back in forth so its always jammed up in there I just don't get it common spread out the work of unloading the ship an send emptys to the stacks an low volume lanes simple as that do some work figure it out don't be lazy an collect a fat check

The one good thing about Global is their new gate system. Movement through the portals is quick and efficient due to RFID tags integration in the system their is minimal human contact. After that it all falls apart. The new RMG system is slow and not programmed to work optimally. For now no empties should be going here only loads. Empty drop and delivery should all be handled by the top picks into and out of the stacks.
Why the RMG doesn't take a container back (if one is there) every time it brings one to a driver in the L lanes makes no sense.
When you do have human interaction a lot of the ILA personnel are rude and dismissive. Someone needs to understand the terminals are a service industry.
And finally if you are going to make drivers wait for hours there should be plentiful comfort facilities that are cleaned more then once a week.I would rather relieve myself outside than use the few port-a- potties provided that are filthy.
Hopefully someone at an administrative level reads this and takes note.

Has become the worst pier in this area. Average time to do any type of move has been over 3 hours. Last week spent 6 hours on a Friday just dropping an empty. When the people directing traffic keep making you do circles then don't tell the trucker what line goes where you know you will have a serious problem. If they wanted all this business to pay for the expansion then they should have planned better for the volume. I am advising all my customers to avoid this pier or face delays with their shipments.
