Where do I begin? I don't even know! If I say I have been transformed, it would be an understatement. Let me explain...Years ago, my darling husband gave me a pair of beautiful huggy earrings with diamonds and sapphires. Unfortunately, they remained in our safe for years. Why? Each time I'd try them on, I'd force myself to like them and wear them. Something just wasn't right.
Well, recently, I stumbled onto a path which thankfully led us to the brilliant Glenn Bradford! And this was really not planned at all. It was destiny. Meant to be! My husband and I found some old sentimental jewelry and other pieces of gold which we decided we'd sell. I called Glenn and made an appointment for both me and my husband never expecting that it would start us on this magical journey. As soon as we stepped into this wonderland of beauty we knew we were in for a special experience. Never did we expect the journey to have taken us so far and been so special. As we took pieces out, Glenn took the time to inspect each piece and he listened very carefully to what each piece meant to us. Glenn carefully explained that he could transform pieces and still retain each of their special sentiments, and rather than sit in safe, they could be used on a regular basis with still the same or more sentimentality. And he was precisely right! In fact, I wanted to melt down the pair of huggies from my husband, the ones with sapphires and diamonds, and Glenn helped me to see that we could do something spectacular with them and then some. How could this even be possible, I thought to myself. But Glenn took time to show me pieces which resembled my earrings, but how the fit was completely different. Who knew that the way a lobe is shaped, or the hole for the earring as well as the design of the earring closure could all be the reasons why my earrings never looked right on me?
Glenn not only changed and designed a new way for the earrings to fit me, he took it many steps further. He is a perfectionist, a genius, a true artist in every sense. He came up with a way to take another pair of tiny studs I had which I wanted to sell and melt, and made them into little chandeliers to add to the huggy! Then, yes, this gets better, he made another pair from some tahitian pearls I had! When the earrings were complete and I put them on it was like a brand new pair! This is no exaggeration! They shined and sparkled on my ears so, and never did they look so beautiful and perfectly perched on my lobes! And to make this even more fabulous, the little pieces that hang, both the stud and pearl, which can be worn separately, both together, or just huggies alone, well, this was magnificent! It was at that moment that I realized that what I had on was not only one-of-a-kind true art, but a handcrafted beauty which I could easily wear every day.
Each time I put these earrings on I recall this journey and how the special gift from my husband I now wear practically daily and absolutely love wearing! And as Glenn explained to us, it's a wardrobe of jewelry that we are building. And I never thought of it that way, but it's true. He was able to salvage a necklace which again, I didn't wear because of how it fit, Glenn was able to show me what I could do with it and how I could build on what I already had and make yet another spectacular creation!
How fortunate we are to have found Glenn Bradford. And how grateful we are to the time and effort and genuine caring that he takes with each and every piece he touches. You can see his passion in every piece he makes and the journey is magical and transforming. And it continues!
