Gerard Desapio Jr Law Office

Professional and Honest this law firm has been my one and only pick in the past 5 years. Can't imagine walking into court without them. Great legal advice and thank you for protecting my rights!

Hi, i was reading some of the reviews that Mr. Gerard Desapio recieved on here and they are obsurd and false. I personally used this law firm for my criminal and traffic matters and i am absolutely pleased with the outcome of my cases and professionalism that i observed from the office secretaries as well as the attorney. The attorney Ms. Candy Velasquez represented me for the firm and she was in the court room early and prepared. She called my name then had a few brief words with me pertaining my case and then she asked me to have a seat. She then spoke to the prosecutor and judge before coming back with great news. All in all i was in and out of court that morning within half an hour of me arriving which i think is very fast. They notified me via mail/call of my upcoming court dates and were also available for a consultation whenever i asked for one. My consultations were free, were as a lot of other lawyers would not even talk to me without retaining them and paying them first. I mean what more can you ask for from a law office!? I was and am very very pleased and happy that i used them for my cases and will continue to use them and i will recommend everyone i know to go to Mr. Gerard Desapio's law office.

This law office is a joke. They only person that helped me was the front desk receptionist. I just plently of bad reviews. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. They so not care about you, just your money. I called for defense on simple speeding ticket. Candy the "lawyer" agreed to represent me with a $200 fee.

I did not need a lawyer for this speeding ticket, but I was willingly to pay the fee for the professionalism and speediness in court with a lawyer.

Unforntunately my plan backfired.

She showed up to court 45 mins late and had another client there other than me. She quickly briefed us on the court process. We were the last called due to her lateness.

She read the rights , that the judge usually doesto us with her hand in front of her mouth, so the judge to repeat them. (Unprofessional)

During the briefing, I asked her if she would be able to inquire on a ticket that the cop on my ticket wrote my license plate on someone elses ticket and she stated yes she would have to wait for the abstract.
She stated i would have to pay a court fee of $389 to get no points, and asked how I would pay it, in full or payment plan. I stated a payment plan.

After the judge gives me a $489 fine she said wait outside, like her client before me.

I waited outside, she saw her other client, then did not speak to me.

She flew out of that court house as I am waiting for.

In conclusion, I paid for a this lawyer to
1. Show up late
2. give me wrong or no information on my case
3. disregard my needs for a payment plan.
4. show her face and leave

There was no reason for her to even be there. I could have spoken to the prosecutor myself and gotten the same deal.

I was in complete panic, tears and anger. I called the office and the lady who answered the phone was very nice and tried helping, she waited till I was done complaing about Candy, took down my name and number and stated she would let Gerard know about the situation and that he would give me a call back.
I thanked her greatly and explained at anytime Gerard can call.

It was been over a week now, NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY I got.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY WITH THIS LAWYERS OFFICE.
