I went there twice. Everyone is friendly, its a clean place + confortable. last time I went, Joshua cut my hair just the way i want it, straight foward and in a timely manner.

Please heed my cautionary tale. If you want a ratchet scalped haircut, Gents is your spot.

I walked in this afternoon, and told Danny that I wanted a shape up. I just needed to line up my sides and back. I expressed this when asked what I wanted, but Danny corrected me telling me I wanted a fade. (In reality, he was just trying to upsell me a haircut instead of a shape up, because it's more money for them)

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT MAY SHOCK YOU:
When asked what length I wanted my hair, I said a 2 to a bald fade. Instead of cutting my sides and back like I said when first asked what I wanted done, Danny starts weedwhacking the top of my head. Within a few seconds, the damage is done. By the time I told him to stop, his ratchet handy work was completed; I was left was scalp showing through my haircut.

IF YOUR GOAL IS TO LOOK BETTER THAN BEFORE YOU GOT YOUR HAIRCUT, GENTS IS YOUR PLACE.

Avoid like the plague. I will never step foot inside this sketchy highway dive ever again, and if you care at all about your appearance, I would strongly advise you to do the same.

The times that I did come here, they gave a pretty good hair cut, but it's nothing you can't get elseware. I've had a bad experience two times that I went here.

The first: The barber that took me, berated me because I let me beard grow out very long without trimming it (One of the reasons I went to gents). Slob was one of the words he used. I know he didn't mean to sound insulting, but he did. The haircut he gave was actually not half bad though.

The second bad experience: I called in as soon as they opened to make an appointment. I had a family fathers day lunch that I didn't want to be late too. I got in for my scheduled appointment and was told that it would be an hour wait. I ensured him that I had an appointment. He said that since there were only two people working, the walk in's that came in before me (5 or 6 people) would have to go first.

I guess that's alright, but when I make an appointment, I expect them to keep that appointment, especially when I'm a regular customer. I won't be going back there again.
