This is where awful Chili's used to be. The service isn't bad at all and the food was your typical diner food. Overall, improved restaurant.

Being so enthralled by the sight of New York City's skyline, I instantly knew I needed to find a slice of cheesecake. And luckily the Garden State Diner had it on take away so I didn't have to worry about missing my flight.
My experience there was fantastic, the lady that helped me had a great personality and offered if I wanted frozen cheesecake so that I could eat it later (which was awesome because I ended up eating it in Chicago of all places.) She even recommended a deli turkey sandwich that surprisingly had delicious flavor!
I urge you, fellow novice travelers, to choose a long layover at EWR so you can grab bite at the Garden State Diner to enjoy it while watching the hazy NYC skyline.

French Dip was pretty good and the fries were delicious as well. Good prices.
