Garden City Coffee Shop

First visit to this coffee shop after many years. Prior owner, Steve, made delicious food. The food at this establishment was horrible. Waitress had no personality and my coffee cup was served to me with lipstick stains. The silverware was dirty and milk for coffee was served in a juice glass instead of a pitcher. I ordered the waffle which was hard that I couldn't eat it. The pancakes were hard as well and tasteless. My dining companion ordered hash and eggs with whole wheat toast. Hash was burnt and toast was burnt as well without being buttered. I observed the wait staff serving ice in glasses using bare hands instead of using an ice scoop. I would never frequent this establishment again. I only hope the health dept does a thorough inspection of this restaurant in the near future. Just awful....

Great place for lunch. Old fashioned interior with very good simple food. Try the chicken salad on rye or grilled cheese sandwiches. Also some very reasonable specials.

ITS GOOD, NOT THE BEST BUT I LIKE IT WHEN IM REALLY REALLY REALLY HUNGRY AND THERES NOTHING ELSE THAT COMES TO MIND

Very good breakfast, I usually get eggs, pancakes or grilled cheese and I've always been satisfied. Quick and Reliable. I go once a week.
