Don't ever hire Marcus Hardwood to do your remodel at Galaxy! The worst, laziest, unethical, money-stealing, contractor ever!!!!

Great views of NY and a lot of amenities like gym and year-round pool. Its nice to have a parking garage right downstairs and doorman 24/7. I would say a very easy commute to midtown as well. I wish they managed the HOA to be more reasonable to owners to afford.

I love this Place - Great View and nice apt - Elevadors are good - had to wait one sat morn 10 mins for one but that was only one time I have been their for 3 months I'm a renter - O and the pool is good too

I own at the Galaxy, I think a lot of the "not so happy" reviews are renters which are here because Galaxy used to be in shambles. They were in debt, they HAD old elevators, now they are state of the art.
We have 1560 square feet 2 bedroom huge windows with a multi million dollar view. We looked at all of the condos from Fort Lee to Edgewater. There was not 1 building that slightly compared to the view size and amenities. The architecture was awarded top 200 in the world when it was built. I would trust living on the 35th floor here than these newer buildings that are popping up all over the place on the "Gold Coast".
I think we have the most value by far. The people that write negative reviews are intentionally trying to ruin the rep of Galaxy. I never write reviews but when I was moving in people tried to talk us out of it and said really negative things.
They were wrong.
As with any Condo some are in better shape than others depends on the owner.
There is a huge security, concierge and maint. staff that are 24 hours a day.
Hope thi helps some people that have been in my situation.
PS we have lived here 3 years and have seen constant improvements.
Plus the value of our apt has gone up 100k since we have been here.

Really nice view, nice receptionists and doormen, good gym but that's pretty much it.

Management is horrible, they don't take actions, no matter what. We moved in a few months ago and the windows were all damaged or didn't open. Have to organize maintenance for the 3rd time now, and he was already very rude the last time he was here. There are more than 1 maintenance people, but they all don't speak English, just Spanish...
The pool area is really old, it's dripping from the ceiling and it didn't take long until I got an infection! The staff in the "spa" area is incredibly rude and most of them are boys that seem to work there in their free time after school.
There are 4 elevators in each building and a lot of the time not working properly, so there are really long waiting times, which is fun when you have a dog that needs to go for a pee... The first week after we moved in, there were 3 fire alarms. Which is not surprising, the smoke alarm in the apartments go off even when you're just boiling water, but definitely when you're frying bacon... The really bad thing about this is, that there are 50 storeys with 10 apartments, or so, each, and it happens all the time, and every time the elevators are not working...
If we wouldn't have the view and they wouldn't allow dogs, we wouldn't stay here...
Also the so called "Galaxy Mall" is nothing but a little overprized supermarket and a pizzeria (really good pizza though!!!) and another restaurant (rude management) upstairs, and a pharmacy and some other institutions like massage, fedex, hair dresser, downstairs. That's not a mall... but the only pharmacy and supermarket around, so good for emergencies...
