G-Free NYC

Not at all impressed. Small, processed "food" assortment. The lady working there was completely crazy.

Its a small store, but packed with great snacks and food! They carry some items that big chain stores typically don't sell. One of my favorite things about the store is that there a good variety of fresh baked gluten free breads from different bakeries! I was also impressed that the owner was able to find gluten-free Japanese ramen! I feel that some of the big chain stores carry gluten free items just for the sake of it and care less about how it taste. This definitely not the case for G-Free NYC. The owner and her staff is always helpful if you have any questions about how something taste or about the product. If you just got diagnosed and is having a hard time making that transition (or if you always had it), this is the place go. With a constant flow of new items at store, its always worth a trip to the store.

This tiny little shop is dedicated to all things Gluten - free. The staff is nice and fully engaged in helping their patrons find products that suit their needs. Aside from a nice selection of packaged GF products that are hard to find at other stores, they also get deliveries of GF baked goods on a regular basis.

I live about a block away from this dedicated gluten-free store and it has been so helpful. My wife has Celiac, so I stop by on the way home from work to pick up food that she can eat. I really like knowing that everything in the store is gluten free, whereas at other grocery stores I'm always having to check the labels to make sure the food was processed in gluten-free environments or safely segregated from wheat ingredients. I also enjoy the fact that the products taste good--I'm not Celiac and I even find myself snacking on the food I buy for my wife from time to time. The staff is friendly and *extremely* knowledgeable about the products. They also have a great selection, with lots of things you won't find at the bigger stores. I highly recommend stopping by!
