What a hidden gem! After an appointment in a law office by Rt 4, we picked the first place to eat on Main Street and to my complete surprise this little hole-in-the wall easily rivals any empanada place in NYC, where I live. They make them fresh to order with delicious dipping sauces, and the waitress was as nice as could be. Foodies must check this place out. Go Hackensack for having a hidden gem like this!

The first time I ate at this restaurant, I had a dream.
In this dream I was running through a meadow, the soft breeze running it's lovely hands over my eager face. Running hand in hand with me was a colossal empanada. I looked to it's crusty delicious shell with a massive smile on my face and it too smiled at me. We were meant to be together in eternal, mutual, true love. We fell onto the soft grass of the meadow and started rolling around in perfect unison. It was true love and we both knew it. I then devoured my soul mate and floated off towards the sun in weightless ecstasy.
So, yeah, their food is pretty good.

WEEEEEPAAAAAA is the one word I can come up with to sum up all the awesomeness of this Puerto Rican hole in the wall that's truly a Gem. From the staff, to the interior, sauces, mofongo, pasteles, and their infamous empanadas . It was a good thing my bf strolled by there for lunch one day because now we have another "our place" to go to.

My experience at Fusion Empanada was to die for....the food is not only beautiful to look at but also delicious ,,,,,the service was great and the owner made me feel at home. Fusion Empanada is the place to go if you want great, innovative, comfort food....love it .....
