A most authentic izakaya featuring everything you want in this format: small, open kitchen with all Japanese chefs serving food as it comes off the burner, daily fish specials and four pages of premium sake served in the traditional gō size (180ml). Drumsticks, tamago and grilled fish are some go-to dishes to try.

Tuna carpaccio - delicate and delicious!
Noodles wrapped in omelet - quite good, great value, bonita flakes - an extra "cherry" on top.
Salmon & salmon roe rice - disappointing! Particularly the salmon itself. Roe and rice are an interesting mix, but can't say the dish works.
