My husband and I visited here recently and my food was pretty good, once it arrived! We waited an HOUR for our food and like the previous review, no one poured our wine or seemed very interested in us. The food was fine, not marvelous, but not worth an hour wait. I won't return.

Let me preface that I`ve been in restaurant business for 25 years , have owned my own restaurant & have worked as a young man in some of the greatest restaurants in NYC . Two of these are the River Café & The Water Club , I state this because I do have a different look at food / service then most . I also want to say I want nothing but success for this Fresh Bistro , so please take this as constructive not as a point to make you look bad . I made a 5:30 pm reservation on Friday night , for my wife`s & I 29th Wedding Anniversary . I came with 2 bottles of Champagne , and high expectations on the food based on a friend recommendation. We walked in & had to find a person to greet us , when they sat us down a lovely young lady who we later find out is chef/owners wife waited on us I believe her name was Alexandria . Knowledgeable about the menu , seemed a nice start to the evening . Our first course was a salad special for my wife , I had the crab cake app . Salad my wife said was good & enjoyable , my crab cake was another matter . Though I did eat this 1 cake it really had no flavor , you could tell it was either pre made & baked or it was a poorly cooked crab cake . Why do I say this ? When you make a crab cake patty there are several ingredients in them , when I cut into in all you saw was shredded crab meat not LUMP it almost had a mashed potato texture . Coupled with the fact the crab cake wasn`t pan seared , to get that all important golden brown crust on both sides . So ok no problem we`ll see what the main course brings , well that was less then 20 seconds from when they picked up our app plates !!!! Who eats that fast remember we made a reservation , but I understood what was happening . As we say in the business , getting the bums rush (we need that table) !! The reason I bring this up is as a owner , waiter or waitress you must honor & respect that patron & their money if you want to stay in business . The main course was Lobster & Asparagus , which was flavorful & nicely done . Once that was removed we quickly were asked about desert , my wife had peaches & cream pie & I had cheese cake with caramel . Both outstanding except for one thing , a little more then 1/2 way through our waitress dropped the check ! Did I ask for that ? No I didn`t , the rush theme continued . My last point of this service was the two bottles of champagne we brought , not one time did anyone fill our glasses . I poured both bottles for my wife & I , even though Fresh didn`t sell us the champagne it is part of their service to be attentive . It shouldn`t be my responsibility , to serve my own table . So although our stay was very brief at Fresh , they must see the little things that make a restaurant better then others . Also know this in todays world & economy people don`t have expendable cash , so when they want to go out to your restaurant you must treat them & their money with respect . Because the question will be why do I want to spend my money , in your bistro again ? I want nothing but the best for this restaurant , but they need to re-evaluate some things to become better .

Amazing. Amazing. The staff was perfect and the food was just as perfect. Highly recommend.
