I read the reviews on this school and I notices that there are more negatives reviews about this school that I was about to transfer, but then again, I am a concern parent that do all my research and from the
reviews and the reading, all I could do is SMH.........My nephew want to attend this school and I wish him the best.....If all this school think about is passing the State Eams......"WOW"......These children
are the next Generations....and they need a better education! I Thanks the reviewer who definitely told the truth about this school......I will not be sending my Child(ren) there!

I was forced by my parents to this school in the 90s before dr hodge got there.worse school ever and im glad i dropped out.all my ppls who went to other schools were passing but everyone here were getting too much homework and failing or barely passing.they was trying to be like stuyvesant high school, even took us on a class trip there.

dropping out of fda was the greatest thing i ever did.life got better after i did that.

I've been in this school since 6th grade and I'm currently going to be starting the 9th grade this September 2011. Since I've gone to this school, I went from a 90 average to as low as a a 58 average. I started having problems with the students who would be attending the school with me during the school classes for new comers during the summer. During my first week, I witnessed students hanging out in the hallways and/or screaming, running, fighting, skipping class, going into classrooms that are in session turning off the lights and running down the hallway, throwing things into classrooms, and disrespecting anyone they see. Me personally, I've had had to put up with racial slurs, students throwing glass bottles at me and others during lunch, I've been harassed for sexual orientation/gender expression, water balloons thrown at me, people t. I also remember when the girls and i think boys bathroom garbages were set on fire. People have been arrested at this school and also have brought knives into this school. The principle and a couple of staff members are always trying to make this school sound good when it isn't. You will be quickly ridiculed/picked on if you don't have/know about the latest clothes, raps, or gossips. You'll be tortured until you leave the school. Students even bullied a 7th grade science teacher to tears and she ended up quitting her job there. The next science teacher there who was Jewish, was also bullied but for being Jewish. After that year, he also left the school. Many of my 8th grade teachers are also switching schools to teach at. The principle doesn't really do much and is so into getting famous people to know about the school. One time there were three people looking for a school that the black eyed pees would like to represent but they changed their minds after witnessing the stupid behavior. It's not only the students who are the problem but also the teachers like the other reviews say. Do NOT send your child to this school.
