Hidden gem of beaches in NYC. So quiet and peaceful. The food prices are reasonable as well.

I volunteered here for Goodwill and my shift was early in the morning. Being at the beach and watching the sunrise was worth the ridiculously early start to the day.

Great for a walk. Two miles one way, two miles back.

The 2 1/2 mile promenade and boardwalk is great for walking, running and bike riding.. The facility stretches from Miller Field to Fort Wadsworth that is under the Verrazano bridge. There are plenty of free parking areas available along Father Capadano blvd. There are ample restroom facilities along the boardwalk as are benches. Picnic tables are available nearer Miller field. There are also multiple children's playground areas found primarily near sand lane (nearer the bridge). There are ample deli's off the beach and one good restaurant on the boardwalk. Anew children's amusement park has been constructed at the intersection of Seaview avenue and Father capadano blvd.
If you enjoy the outdoors this is a must see/
