Friday night upstairs is where you wanna head for house music & downstairs is seating for chit chat and hip-hop to reggae. Grown ass folk with a rustic feel. If you are looking for a place to un-wine and get your dance on, Franks is the spot.

this is more than a local bar. it is an institution. the 2nd floor is where the party is at (fridays and saturdays). people from all walks of life are there and lose themselves in the music (and reconnect with humanity).
this is not a place to see and be seen. it is a place for people to dance and come back to life. you wont be comfortable if you attempt to do anything else.

Went there after Moe's on a Wed night. I hadn't been to Franks in years. Just looking for something else to do. Well, i arrived there at around 7:30 did not leave until 12. I had the best time. The free food was good and the drinks on time. Straight neighborhood feel with a little throwback. Good mix of people and if you like Karaoke, this is it! Franks Lounge has made it to my weekly rotation! Where Brooklyn At?! Franks Lounge holla!

I loved this place! It's a little busted and you kind of feel like you're a few decades in the past, but I mean that in a good way... that's my favorite kind of bar. It has a nice mix of people, it's fun for people-watching. Plus there was a jazz band with a jazz flutist playing, which is always comical and kept reminding me of Anchorman. I'll be back - a nice spot with good atmosphere. Plus it has icicle lights, can't go wrong there. I thought drinks were slightly pricy for the type of place it is and the location, but not so much that it would deter me from returning.
