Flatbush Garden Maintenance

Run from here, you may be in a situation where you have no choice but to rent here but do yourself the biggest favor and and start planning to move!!!!

I lived at the Flatbush Gardens for three years from 2008 to 2011, and it was like living in NYCHA. From the roof fires, no heat or water, the constant weed smoking in the hallways, people having sex in the staircases, buzzing at all hours of the night, rocky 5 style fights in the middle of the street, shootings, drunks walking past your window screaming nonsense, I survived living at the complex. In total of the three years living at the complex, I recorded almost 4 months worth of no heat or water water complaints just from my tally.

The nail that hit the coffin was during blizzard and I was left without heat or hot water, or electric. I was bascially entombed in my apartment because the grounds keepers did not shovel the walkways or the front of the buildings. I recall seeing one of the grounds keepers using a hammer to remove ice and pouring hot water in 30 degree weather in an attempt to clear the walkways. Who does this? Are you a bonehead or what?

I dont know why the management office doesnt just hand over ownership to the city and give up on trying to raise rents. Management hated seeing walk into the office because they knew it would result in a call to 311, and an HPD officer would be calling them the next day.

I stuck it out only because I was saving money, but once I saved a considerable amount I broke my lease and left.

This place is the worst...the workers are thrives and lie about everything...they don't fix anything.
