The food is pretty. It's not actually good, but it looks great. Then again, there's atrocious service and the place is run down to a point that even if it's clean it seems dirty. Please, don't make me come back.

Five Leaves has great ricotta pancakes. They're fluffy and topped with strawberries, and blueberries, and a whole banana. There's also this delicious mysterious scoop on top of the pancakes, what others claim to be a type of butter. The proportions of the pancakes were good, considering the price ($13).
The only bad thing about my visit was the service. Not that they were rude, but the waiters/waitresses weren't as friendly as I thought they'd be. There was also a long wait for the food. The service wasn't a big deal to me though, because I enjoyed the food so much. I didn't have to wait for a table, but it was almost at full capacity, which was surprising because it was on a Wednesday.
(If you're sitting outside, be aware of the flies and bees that try to attack you and your food.)
I recommend this restaurant; it's a great spot for brunch.

Can't beat the location - right across from the park. Great spot to be outdoors in the summer. The food is superb. Everything is delish-ricotta pancakes, avocado toast, kale salad. But the best is their signature burger. Just made myself hungry again! :)

Located a few feet from the subway and we saw a MTA bus pass by. I came across Five Leaves during my search for a good breakfast spot and I was feigning for pancakes. They had nothing but good reviews on their food. So we hopped on the subway and headed over. I never went inside because the weather was so nice, we decided to eat outside. Our order was taken pretty quickly, but the wait was our food was extremely long and patrons who came after us were serviced quicker. Our waitress never came over to inform us to justify the wait and when we finally inquired, she gave such a bland and nonchalant response. Fortunately our food came out right after our inquiry. The ricotta pancakes were delicious and the toast baguette bread with pumpkin butter was good. Nice quaint location with really good food, but the service sucked. Unfortunately, I would go back for the ricotta pancakes.

Excellent breakfast, in fact the best I've had in the neighbourhood. Cool and relaxed atmosphere with a nice mix of young people and families. We were there on a Saturday morning so it was quite crowded, with a bunch of people outside when we left. Recommended!
