FERNANDO'S SALON

A small oasis in Woodside Qns.

This salon seems to have a lot of drama swirling around it. The other day, a woman came in and asked to speak with the owner. After he identified himself (as Angel), she began talking. Well, I guess he didn't like what she had to say, because he stood up in the middle of her speaking, said, 'I don't have time for this,' and walked out of the salon! I have never seen anything ruder in my life. The woman looked shocked. It was very uncomfortable. The other owner/manager looked completely indifferent, like he couldn't care less.

Then, yesterday, right as I was walking by, 2 police officers went in there with disgusted looks on their faces. They stood there for a while talking with one of the owners.

It's really not clear what's going on with this salon, but it does appear that the owners need to work on being more professional and concerned with how they come across, and on not upsetting people!

There are two reviews so far that describe the rude and agry behavior that lurks under Angel and Fernando's pretty smiles. They are absolutely right.
I was there the day Angel arrived in the nieghborhood; he parked his car on the street and blasted music all up and down the block. People were yelling at him from their doorsteps to turn it down. From there it went downhill, these store-owners have no consideration for the neighborhood. And no matter how politely you deal with them, they become enraged. They are actually a little frightening.

I just moved to the neighborhood and took a huge chance on getting hair done here (I was getting purple highlights and didn't ask anyone about the place). All I can say is nothing but great things! My hair came out amazing and I absolutely love the color. The people are super friendly and the prices are great. I would say for anyone to take a chance on them like I did. I will deff be back in 6-8 weeks for my touch ups and anything after that :-)

I recently moved into the neighborhood and was looking for a salon close by to my place. I found this salon on google and after reading all the reviews wondered if it was actually true. So i took an appointment for a hair cut and I am very happy that I did so. It is actually as good as people say it is. The moment I entered into the salon he offered me wine ( there were other women inside who were already drinking wine. Not sure if they always have that). The whole vibe in the salon is quite inviting and makes one feel at home. My hair looked beautiful and I would strongly recommend this place.
