Ex-Terminator Pest Control

I knew the previous owner and the company was great when he owned it. Unfortunately, he passed away and left the company to his widow. Once she took over, the company was never the same because customer service is not something that this company values anymore.

We used this company 4 years ago and they seemed ok. Because of that, we decided to call them again when the same issues arose this year. They gave us a time frame of 12-3 on a Saturday and didn't show up until after 4, claiming they didn't have our number to let us know they were running late. Showed up in his own car, not a company van or anything, and wasn't wearing anything displaying the name of the company. Seemed odd. He then began telling us about all different insects, what they ate, where they lived, etc. While I appreciate he wanted to share his knowledge, I told him we had waited all day but were about to leave for a party, so if he could please just do the job, that would really help us not be late. He asked what rooms and what kind of bugs. I told him EXACTLY where to spray. He then continued to talk non-stop about insects and not spraying. 15 mins later, I had to interrupt him talking to my husband to ask him to PLEASE do the job he was here to do, that he was now making us late. He apologizes, I leave the room, and a few minutes later, I go back into the kitchen to find he's spraying around the base of my cabinets. I asked him what he was doing - because I told him the only rooms I wanted done were two bedrooms upstairs! I have a baby and pets and didn't want that stuff in my kitchen anyway, and I TOLD him that - but he still sprayed - and got the stuff ALL OVER THE FLOOR! He didn't even apologize, just finished doing the kitchen, and then was escorted upstairs. Then we told him about the bees by the garage, and even though he was out there for a good 20-30mins, he BARELY sprayed where the issue was at all. He called his boss to find out how much it was gong to cost us, and the price - 4 years later for doing the EXACT same things we asked them to do the first time we used them - was now MORE than DOUBLE, and the work was totally shotty to boot. Today, a few months later, I can look out my front window and see the bees swarming around the garage (which we told him to treat) as if he never even touched it. We will not only never use them again, we tell everyone we know never to use them, either. Go with a professional. We went with a mom & pop shop trying to help out the little guy and we got the shaft...

UPDATE: One of the main reasons we called was because we have hornet nests on the side of our garage. He sprayed there and now, 2 months later, the hornets are in full force. First time they came to take care of the hornet issue we didn't have a problem for 2-3 years. This time? They charged us for a service they couldn't even provide, apparently. Run screaming from this company and like I said, go find someone who knows what they're doing...
